Sometimes, a little bit of context goes a long way in understanding someone else's work. Here's just a bit to go along with what you'll find on this site.
The Plagueline: This is my second novel (we don't need to talk about the first; we'll call that one practice) and, as such, I was still very much learning the process and my own writing style throughout. The Plagueline was also where I learned a lot of refining and editing techniques. I hope you enjoy the story, but do know that it may be rough around the edges in places.
Hostbound: My third novel is something I am considerably happier about than my first two. It's a book I've spent many hours refining and workshopping with other writers in classes and conventions. It was inspired largely by the three years I spent living and teaching English in Korea and was edited by two of my wonderful Korean friends who acted as sensitivity readers (they're also both English teachers, so a huge shout-out to them for doing plenty of regular ol' editing, too).
